This Theme License Agreement (“License”) governs the use of Shopify themes and digital template products provided by Step Media (“we”, “us”, or “our”) through step-media.com.
By purchasing, downloading, or using any theme provided by Step Media, you agree to the terms of this License.
1. License Grant
Upon purchase, Step Media grants the buyer a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased Shopify theme.
The license allows the buyer to install and use the theme on one (1) Shopify store only.
Each Shopify store requires a separate license purchase.
Ownership of the theme and all intellectual property rights remain with Step Media.
2. Permitted Use
The buyer is permitted to:
• install the theme on one Shopify store
• modify and customize the theme for personal or business use
• adapt the theme design or functionality for their own store.
The license does not transfer ownership of the theme.
3. Prohibited Use
The buyer may not:
• resell the theme
• redistribute the theme
• share the theme files with third parties
• upload the theme to marketplaces or repositories
• distribute the theme for free or commercial purposes
• sell modified versions of the theme.
Any unauthorized distribution or resale of the theme constitutes a violation of this License.
4. Theme Modification
The buyer may modify or customize the theme code for their own use.
However:
• modified versions may not be sold
• modified versions may not be distributed
• modified versions may not be shared publicly.
5. No Support
Themes are sold as-is.
Step Media does not provide technical support, installation services, or customization assistance for purchased themes.
By purchasing the theme, the buyer acknowledges that:
• no installation support is provided
• no customization assistance is included
• no troubleshooting services are guaranteed.
6. Updates
Themes sold by Step Media do not include updates.
Future versions or improvements may be released separately and may require a new purchase.
7. Digital Product Policy
Shopify themes sold on this website are digital downloadable products.
Once the theme file has been downloaded or access to the file has been provided, the purchase is considered final.
Due to the nature of digital products, refunds are not available after download.
This policy complies with EU Consumer Rights Directive Article 16(m) regarding digital content.
8. White-Label Usage
Buyers may remove or modify branding elements within the theme and use the theme under their own brand.
However, white-label usage does not grant permission to redistribute or sell the theme.
9. Intellectual Property
All themes, source code, design elements, and related materials remain the intellectual property of Step Media.
This License grants permission to use the theme, but does not transfer ownership.
10. Limitation of Liability
Themes are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
Step Media shall not be liable for:
• loss of business
• loss of revenue
• data loss
• compatibility issues
• errors caused by third-party modifications.
11. Termination of License
This License will terminate automatically if the buyer violates any of its terms.
Upon termination, the buyer must:
• stop using the theme
• delete all copies of the theme files.
12. Governing Law
This License Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of Poland.
